The goal of this website is to help develop, disseminate, and evaluate resources that can be used to practice EBP for nurses in an attempt to exemplify nursing evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and research excellence.


Objectives of EBP Training Program

The purpose of this training program is to provide an overview of the importance, process, and implementation of EBP to enhance nursing practice, improve patient outcomes, and the overall quality of the healthcare system.

It aims to provide nurses with knowledge, skills, and to promote positive attitude that are required in practicing evidence-based practice approach in the nursing field. The program focuses on enabling nurses to be skillful in implementing the steps of evidence-based practice, which are stating answerable questions, tracking the evidence, appraising the evidence, applying the evidence and evaluating the evidence.


At the completion of this training program, the learner will be able to:
  1. Define evidence-based practice.
  2. Discuss the importance of EBP in improving patient outcomes.
  3. Formulate a clinical question by using the picot format.
  4. Develop search strategy on various scientific databases.
  5. Apply the process of appraisal of literature.
  6. Illustrate how to apply evidence in clinical practice.
  7. Describe how to manage change in clinical practice.
